Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July Everyone. I'm so grateful to live in this country to have freedoms to live and worship how we choose. I'm grateful for those men and women who made this possible for us in America. I hope that we can all strive to be righteous that God will continue to look after us. I pray for the leaders of this country to make good and righteous decisions. I hope all will be able to celebrate this day of our great country.

On a lighter note I thought our kids looked so cute in their patriotic t-shirts. Though it is overcast and may rain at any moment we are going to have a BBQ with our little family and we have some sparklers and fireworks tonight. I'm sure more pictures will come.

Brian's Birthday and Running through the Sprinklers

Wednesday was Brian's birthday. After he got home from work we celebrated with presents and and ice cream cake. He is a very good father and husband and we are grateful for him.
The kids have been having fun in a very wild sprinkler. One the days that it isn't raining.

Floppy

We finally got a bunny! We have been looking for one since Easter, but they were all gone. This is the one that Benjamin picked out. He is really cute. This picture doesn't make him look as cute as he really is.
The kids love to follow/chase him all over the yard.

They love to feed him grass and weeds. I think we are a little crazy getting a pet so close to having a new baby, but I think that it has worked out pretty good so far.

Matthews Many Faces

He is a little yellow because he has a slight case of jaundice.
He yawns so big! I don't think I remember my other kids yawning this big.

He looked so cute with his hands on his face.

Matthew Josef McMurtrey

Matthew Josef came into the world yesterday June 9 at 3:32am. He was 7lb 7oz. and 19 inches long. He is very healthy and has lots of dark hair. The kids were very excited and love him. They love to blow him kisses.
Mom and baby are great! We came home on Wed. the 10th. That is the soonest we have ever been able to both leave the hospital.

Dad was happy to have him here and stop hearing me complain and worry about his size.

Christmas Carol Train

The Christmas Carol Train came to town, it is a train filled with promos for the new Disney movie The Christmas Carol, it was free and it was very interesting. It had old hand written papers and play programs from Charles Dickens.
It was strange seeing so much Christmas in June, but the kids had fun and it was free. We also are not doing much this summer so we thought we ought to take the chance to get out and do something with the kids.

My Cake

This month I've been taking a cake decorating class. I really am not very coordinated and I didn't think that I would be able to do very well, but I think that I surprised myself. Though I made a lot of mistakes, I feel like I did alright. I just need to keep practicing.
